Start Kids Reading Books Early


This is such a cute video of a toddler "reading" to her infant brother. It's a YouTube video posted by "godscent".
Mom's remarks at the end that her daughter can't really read. It's pretty obvious that she's just telling her baby brother what she remembers, but I bet it won't be long before she starts reading "for real"!

Obviously, it's never too early to start kids reading books!

Reading Books To Your Children

Parents find many reasons for not reading books to their children. Some can't read themselves, or read poorly. Some feel embarrassed making funny faces and sounds that delight kids. Then there are those who don't think they have the time.

If you can identify with these parents, don't fall into those traps. Because that's exactly what they are - traps! They steal away precious moments with your little one... opportunities to build trust and love, and to simply enjoy being a parent.

Just as important, the experience of having you all to herself means everything to your little girl. It builds a camaraderie with her that strengthens all your other parenting qualities. It soothes all the discipline, because after she is scolded she can remember the reading times... when everything was Ok.
